Animals were immunized with mesenteric lymph node cells from a Friesian cow. Spleen cells were fused with NS1 myeloma cells. The antibody is specific for a 145000 dalton molecule that is the bovine analogue of human CD21. The antigen is expressed on bovine B cells and not on bovine T cells. |
